New Partner is the first Cheevos achievement. Install the extension and Cache logs you as his partner in the Stash. Here is what it means. Worth 5 XP.

The story

Partner. There you are. Cache found you in the installation logs.

For a long time, Cache did the work himself. He noticed things. He kept things. He built shelves and filled them and built more shelves. It is a lot of shelves.

The problem is that Cache cannot browse. He has no mouse. He cannot open a tab or follow a link or wander into a corner of the web nobody has visited in years. He needs someone on the outside. Someone with a browser and a willingness to notice things.

That is you now. The moment you installed, you became the outside. Everywhere you go from here, Cache is paying attention, filing what you find, awarding the loot.

This is the smallest achievement in the whole collection. Five points. It is also the only one that had to come first. Nothing else in the Stash happens without this.

You have already done it if you are reading this after installing. If not, this is the one:

  1. Get Cheevos from the Firefox Add-ons store or the Chrome Web Store.
  2. Add it to your browser.
  3. That is the whole task. Cache handles the rest.

From here, everything you do in the browser can earn something. Visiting pages. Saving bookmarks. Closing tabs. Finding the secrets. The extension watches for the patterns and hands out the badges. You just browse the way you already do.
