The story

Partner. You sent something out into the world, and it worked.

Cache has always operated on a simple principle: more browsers noticing more corners of the internet means more loot for the Stash. One partner is good. Two partners is better. He has done the math on this more times than he will admit.

A referral link is the easiest way to make the math work in his favor. You did not have to do much: copy a link, paste it somewhere, maybe say "you would like this" to someone who trusts your recommendations. But somewhere out there, a person clicked it, installed Cheevos, and became a new partner because of you specifically.

Cache logs every new partner who arrives this way, and he notes exactly who brought them. Getting someone to actually click a link, rather than scroll past it, is harder than it sounds, which is why this one is worth more than the average achievement. You recruited. It counted. Cache is keeping track, and he will keep counting every new partner your link brings in after this one too.

Spoiler: how to unlock it

This one needs a real, working link and a friend willing to use it.

  1. Open your Cheevos profile and find your personal referral link.
  2. Share it, over text, in a group chat, wherever your recommendation carries weight.
  3. Wait for someone to click it and install Cheevos through that link.

Referral links work by appending a unique code as a URL parameter, which the install flow reads and attributes back to your account once the new install completes. There is no limit to how many people you can recruit this way, and each successful referral is tracked independently in your profile.
