The story

He knows what four hours of browsing usually looks like, because he has watched thousands of sessions unfold. Something interesting appears. A tab opens for it. Something related to that appears. Another tab opens. By hour two, most sessions have sprawled into a dozen open threads that all felt necessary in the moment.

Yours did not sprawl. Whatever tempted you to open something extra, you resisted it, repeatedly, across four consecutive hours. That is not one moment of discipline. That is dozens of small moments, stacked back to back, each one a quiet decision to stay under the line.

Spoiler: how to unlock it

The mechanics are the same as the one-hour version. The endurance required is not.

  1. Bring your total open tab count, across all windows, below five.
  2. Hold that line. Do not let the count climb back to five or more.
  3. Sustain it for four continuous hours to unlock the achievement.

Cheevos checks your tab count at intervals throughout your browsing session, and this achievement requires that check to keep passing for a much longer stretch than its one-hour counterpart. Browser tab management research consistently shows that open tab counts tend to grow over the course of a session rather than shrink, since closing a tab requires a deliberate decision while opening one is nearly frictionless. Holding a low count for four hours means resisting that default drift dozens of times in a row.
