The story

The Add-ons Store, addons.mozilla.org, is where a plain browser goes to become a specific one. Ad blockers. Screenshot tools. Password managers. Themes that turn the whole interface a color nobody asked for but somebody clearly wanted. Every extension listed there represents someone's decision about what their browsing should feel like, and the store is where that decision gets made.

Cache has archived the full extension catalog from 2008, back when the store looked different and half the extensions listed there no longer exist in any form. He finds the vanished ones the most interesting of all, oddly specific tools built for problems that stopped being problems, or for browsers that stopped being made. He keeps them anyway. Someone built them. That's enough for Cache.
