The story

Partner. You brought Cheevos to Chrome. New territory.

People get loyal to browsers. They pick a side, defend it, argue about it. Cache finds this funny, in a gentle way, because he has no side. A browser is a door to the loot. He is interested in the loot, not the door.

Chrome is a very big door. It is the most-used browser on the planet, which means it opens onto an enormous amount of territory Cache would otherwise never see. When a partner installs Cheevos there, the Stash gains coverage it did not have before.

The turn: you might have expected a raccoon named Cache to have opinions about browser engines and privacy models and which company to trust. He does not, not really. He cares about one thing. Are you noticing the internet, and can he keep what you find? Chrome, Firefox, both, it is all the same to him. The doors are different. The Stash is one.

Install Cheevos on Google Chrome.

  1. Open Chrome.
  2. Go to the Chrome Web Store listing for Cheevos.
  3. Click "Add to Chrome" and confirm.

The extension runs on the same open standard, Manifest V3, that most modern browser extensions use, which is why Cheevos can live in both Chrome and Firefox from largely the same codebase. Install it in both and you unlock a separate achievement for running across two browsers at once.
