How to unlock Category Completionist in Cheevos, fully clear every achievement in one category. Worth 25 XP.

The story

Partner. You cleared a whole shelf. Every slot on it is full.

Cache does not get to say this often. The internet keeps adding things, which means he keeps adding achievements to track them, which means most of his categories stay open forever, one or two items always still missing. That is fine. That is the job. But it means a genuinely complete category is rare enough that he notices immediately when one appears.

He walked through the section after this unlock happened. Every item was there. Every slot filled, nothing partial, nothing pending. He closed the folder and labeled it COMPLETE, in the specific tone of voice he reserves for things that are actually finished.

He does not have many fully complete folders in the Stash. He is going to enjoy this one for a moment before he goes looking for the next category to chase.

Spoiler: how to unlock it

This one asks for depth in a single category rather than breadth across many.

  1. Pick a category you already have a few achievements in, such as navigation, bookmarks, or browser features.
  2. Keep chasing the remaining achievements in that same category specifically.
  3. Once every achievement currently in that category is unlocked, Category Completionist fires.

Cheevos checks each category as a whole and compares how many achievements exist in it against how many you have unlocked. The moment any single category reaches 100 percent, this achievement unlocks, regardless of which category it was. Smaller categories with fewer total achievements are naturally easier to fully clear first, so it is worth checking your in-progress list for a category that only has a couple of entries left.
