The story

Partner. You saved something. The Stash just got its first tab.

A bookmark is a small, quiet act. There is no ceremony to it. You click a star, or press a shortcut, and a page that would otherwise scroll away into your browsing history instead gets a permanent spot in a folder. Most people do this without thinking twice.

Cache thinks about it constantly, because a bookmark is a promise, and Cache takes promises seriously. When you save a page, you are telling yourself: this mattered enough that I will want it again. You do not know when. You just know you will.

He keeps every promise he has ever made himself, which is a large part of why the Stash is so absurdly full. He recognizes the instinct in you now. First bookmark. First promise. He is filing it as item number one in a collection that, if it goes anything like his own, will eventually get out of hand in the best possible way.

Every archive starts with a single saved thing. This is yours.

This is one of the simplest achievements in Cheevos, and it only needs to happen once.

  1. Navigate to any page in your browser worth keeping.
  2. Click the star icon in the address bar, or use the keyboard shortcut (Ctrl+D on Windows and Linux, Cmd+D on Mac).
  3. Confirm the save, choosing a folder if you like.

Bookmarks are one of the oldest features in any web browser: a saved reference to a page's URL, stored locally so you can return to it without remembering the exact address. Cheevos detects when your browser's bookmark count increases for the first time and logs it as your very first save, the foundation for every bookmark-related achievement that follows.
